TheTanker.Com Welcomes John Bertetto
13 December 2003
Firepower Fans,
This is a real treat for me. I’ve received tons of e-mail from readers around the globe since TIN SOLDIERS’ June 2003 release. A few of those e-mails truly moved me. One in particular made me laugh my ass off. Let me give you a brief glimpse…
The writer was a young and upcoming novelist from Chicago,
John Bertetto. In a few months he and his family, who have deep roots in the Marine Corps, have become close friends. I noticed over these past months that I can bring up a topic and ten minutes later I receive a two-page diatribe, very-well written and uhhhh – opinionated – back from John. Were they funny? Definitely. More, they were well thought out and written. And distinctly conservative.
I got with my web guru, Bill Parker, and told him I wanted to give John his own forum, a weekly “editorial” in which to express whatever he was feeling at any given moment. Be warned, Firepower Fans, John will never be boring, and nor is he gentle. You gotta love him. Thus, read on…
